The Aurora Incident vs Roswell UFO Crash

The Aurora Incident vs Roswell UFO Crash

November 08, 20233 min read

Nothing capture the imagination more than a UFO crash followed by government cover up and (no less) the wave of conspiracies that will follow such an incident.

Many people are aware of the 1947 Roswell UFO crash but how many are aware of the Aurora Incident in 1897 which is just as compelling?

Below are the two stories side by side but which one is the better….?

The Roswell UFO Crash

Roswell UFO Crash covered up?

One morning around Independence Day 1947, about 75 miles from the town of Roswell, New Mexico, a rancher named Mac Brazel found something unusual in his sheep pasture: a mess of metallic sticks held together with tape; chunks of plastic and foil reflectors; and scraps of a heavy, glossy, paper-like material. Unable to identify the strange objects, Brazel called Roswell’s sheriff. The sheriff, in turn, called officials at the nearby Roswell Army Air Force base. Soldiers fanned out across Brazel’s field, gathering the mysterious debris and whisking it away in armored trucks.

On July 8, “RAAF Captures Flying Saucer on Ranch in Roswell Region” was the top story in the Roswell Daily Record. But was it true? On July 9, an Air Force official clarified the paper’s report: The alleged “flying saucer,” he said, was only a crashed weather balloon. However, to anyone who had seen the debris, it was clear that whatever this thing was, it was no weather balloon. Some people believed–and still believe–that the crashed vehicle had not come from Earth at all. They argued that the debris in Brazel’s field must have come from an alien spaceship.

Nearly 50 years after the story of the mysterious debris broke, the U.S. military issued a report linking the incident to a top-secret atomic espionage project called Project Mogul. Still, many people continue to embrace the UFO theory, and hundreds of curiosity seekers visit Roswell and the crash site every year.

The Aurora Incident

One morning in early spring 1897, there were a number of reports stating that a UFO had crashed into a windmill owned by a local judge in the small town of Aurora, Texas. These reports also indicated that along with the crash was a pilot described as being “out of this world” who had died in the accident.

The report that appeared in local newspapers had said that lights in the sky had been seen all around the country, and had been heading north. A few witnesses had begun to believe that there was something not quite right with how this UFO was flying, due to its slow speeds of around 10-12 miles per hour. After the UFO had reached the north part of Aurora, the ship slowly began to descend, and collided with a windmill, scattering debris over several acres of land.

The pilot of the ship is said to have been the only member aboard, and although the body was badly disfigured, witnesses had said that this body was “not an inhabitant of this world” and was known as the “Martian Pilot”.

The body that was found in the crash was buried in the local graveyard by the people who lived in the town. Sadly on the 14th June, 1973, a group of people went into the cemetery and stole the headstone which had a cigar-shaped spaceship carved into it. Soon after this had happened, a sign was put up at the entrance of the cemetery marking the place where the body had been buried, with the story of what had happened.

Which ever you believe there is a significant difference of 50 years between the two crash sites!
